CHIEF SECREATARY, AMBASSADOR OMBENI Y. SEFUE, MEETS AMBASSADOR LINDA THOMAS-GREENFIELD, US ASSISTANT SECREATARY OF STATE FOR AFRICA, 9TH JUNE, 2015
Today, June 9th, 2015 the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Ombeni Y. Sefue held discussions with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Linda Thomas - Greenfield. Ambassador Linda is in Tanzania for three days working visit, which includes the East African Regional Meeting of the U.S. Ambassadors.
Ambassador Linda was accompanied by the U.S. Ambassador to Tanzania, H.E. Mark Childress and other Senior Officials.
During their exchange, they touched on a number of bilateral cooperation issues, the ongoing electoral process, the MCC Compact II and the recent Regional meeting on Burundi, among others.
Ambassador Sefue applauded the U.S. Government for its continued technical assistance that has enabled Tanzania to sustain the socio-economic transformation drive.
